Director/Reporter/Producer (HBC Inc.)

Hiawatha Broadband Communication, Inc. is located in Winona, Minnesota and provides local communities with internet, phone and cable. HBC Inc. has their own studio department that produces four local programming shows and covers over 100 live events. HBC Inc. covers nine local high schools, a D3 college and a D2 college ranging in sports from football, basketball, hockey, volleyball and softball, and local parades.

Knight Vision is Wartburg College's live broadcast forum for athletics, musical, worship and other events happening on campus. For the different activities, I have directed the broadcast using the Newtek Tricaster, operated a camera and have created high-light videos for all athletics. I also have had the pleasure to call live home games over broadcast for volleyball, basketball, softball and wrestling for the last two and a half years.

Cedar Valley Today is a daily news show that is broadcasted through Knight Vision. I have been able to find a local story, conduct both live and pre-recorded interviews, shoot VO and be on-air live. I have grown as a reporter in my ability to capture the essence of a note worthy event in the time allotted for the news program.

The Trumpet is Wartburg College's campus newspaper which is sent out to alum and families who sign up for them along with students and faculty. Through my experiences, I have developed my writing skills to enhance the story being highlighted.
Eau Claire Express (Intern)
May - August 2016
While spending my summer in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, I had the opportunity to be the Director of Videography intern for the Eau Claire Express baseball team. This internship provided me to challenge myself on the production side of things. I was in charge of producing all of the live home games along with in-game graphics. I also was assigned to create different videos such as commercials or social media content to be broadcasted during the game, on television and on all social media platforms. I worked closely with the program LiveWire to achieve the high standard the Express had set.
KWWL Channel 7 (Intern)
Jan. - May 2015
Interning at KWWL was a great experience. I was able to go out and get VOSOT's for the 5, 6 & 10 o clock news shows. Also, helped the anchors and reporters as a photog for stories they were working on or for a live shot.
Colorado Public Television Station (Intern)
June - August 2015
While spending my summer in Colorado, I had the opportunity to help produce their weekly show "Colorado Inside Out" along with various other shoots such as the "American Graduate" series. I also created a documentary about a local band in Colorado who is up and coming.

I became a student in the fall of 2013 studying in the Department of Journalism and Communication Arts with an emphasis in Multimedia Journalism and Public Relations and a minor in Leadership. I was involved with the campus television station, newspaper, Knight Vision and the radio station. I was a student athlete as a cheerleader for football and basketball. I was the president of the Society for Collegiate Journalists and am a member of the Lamda Pi Eta.

While in high school, I was dual-enrolled at the community college in Marshalltown, Iowa. I was active in the media program in which I created a radio show, produced commercials for area businesses and broadcasted live sporting events.
East Marshall High School
2009-2013
I was in the top ten percent of my class and part of the National Honor Society. I was a student athlete being involved with cheerleading, basketball, wrestling manager, softball and golf. I was active in the band, choir, speech and musicals throughout the four years.
